The Original Mini Highland Cow Experience

Meet, brush, and pet fluffy mini Highland cows right here in Ontario

Tiny cows, big love

Say it with us in your best Scottish accent – “hairy coos!”

Get up close with our fluffy family of micro and mini Highland cows and their full sized Highland friends. These gentle, affectionate floofs are the sweetest bunch on the farm, and in this award-winning Mini Highland Cow Experience, you’ll get to spoil them with attention.

Brush them, hand-feed them, and show them all the love they could ever dream of. They LIVE for this level of pampering and aren’t shy about showing it!

Things to know before you book

  • This is an ages 12+ experience. No exceptions. It is not recommended for any individual who cannot remain calm around the cattle.
  • Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
  • Strollers and wheelchairs are not recommended.
  • The experience includes walking on uneven ground and is not suitable for those with balance or mobility issues.
  • You will get to meet some of our cattle with a gate between you and them for your safety
  • You can pet, hand feed, take pictures and learn more about them.
  • On colder days, you will get to spend part of your experience time inside our heated barn.
  • We always respect our cattle’s space and needs. If for whatever reason a cow does not want to participate, we will simply spend more time with the others.
  • You will not be “cuddling”. Cattle need to feel complete trust to allow someone to hug or sit with them and we cannot guarantee this will happen for guests
  • If we have new baby calves on the farm, they may be part of this experience depending on whether they are with a mom we are visiting. Meeting calves is not guaranteed. When we have hand-raised calves available, we offer a Highland Calf Meet & Greet. special 30-minute session focused just on the calves. Click below to see if any dates are available.

Cancellation Policy

To create the best experience for both our guests and our animals, we limit the number of participants in each experience. Last-minute cancellations are very difficult to rebook, so we have a fair cancellation policy that we strictly follow:

  • If we cancel due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full credit (minus the booking system processing fee).

  • Cancellations made 5 days or more before your experience are eligible for a full refund, credit, or reschedule (minus the processing fee).

  • Cancellations made 2–4 days before your experience will receive a 50% refund or 50% credit/reschedule (minus the processing fee).

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the experience are non-refundable and cannot be credited or rescheduled.

  • No-shows will not receive a refund, credit, or reschedule.

How We Keep Our "coos" Safe, Happy, and Living the Good Life

To help protect our animals, all boots are sanitized in our foam station before entering the farm. Around here we have a simple rule: foam your boots, save a cow.

We give our cattle plenty of space, time, and respect. That’s why we only run this experience a few times a week with a small number of guests in each session. We’ll show you how to approach them, interact with them, and earn their trust…because when this is done well, the connection you can build is something pretty special.

When they’re not visiting with guests, our cattle spend their days together in the pasture handling important cow business: kicking the hay, mooing, and grooving. We wouldn’t be surprised if they have full-blown discos after hours.
