Settle into the serene beauty of our farm as the sun dips below the horizon and enjoy an award-winning Alpaca Sunset Picnic, where your dining companions aren’t a dog trying to swipe your food, but a herd of fluffy, curious alpacas greeting you with gentle charm. Savour a handcrafted selection of Ontario-made cheeses, fresh baguette, artisanal meats, snacks, and drinks, all while soaking in the magical golden-hour glow. And don’t worry—the alpacas won’t feel left out. You’ll have special feed just for them, so they can snack alongside you as you unwind into the evening. And, you can see the mini Highlands from the pasture!

Have a sneaky peaky

Book an Alpaca Sunset Picnic and get a free general admission pass! Enjoy access to our walking trails and memorial garden, and visit our animals from the designated paths. This pass is worth like three coffees per person… you’re welcome!

Brought my wife for a sunset picnic with the Alpacas for her birthday and we had an absolute blast! What an amazing setup they have, it was a dream getting to meet, pet and feed the Alpacas while we were also spoiled with an amazing charcuterie setup from all local vendors. We each got an ice cream as well which was made fresh using their own goats milk and it was so delicious. The amazing staff were so friendly and helpful to make our experience the best it could be and even let us see the highland cows and baby goats. We were fortunate that we were the only ones who had booked so we had a private experience for our picnic where we got to sit and enjoy the birds chirping and the sounds of the animals and after petting the soft Alpacas we had to purchase one of their Alpaca fur sweaters from their beautiful store. We caught a glimpse of the camping setup they offer as we got in our car and we were blown away with how nicely setup it was. I would recommend Udderly Ridiculous to anyone and we plan on going back ourselves! If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.

We had such a wonderful time at utterly ridiculous farm life! I am in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating to make sure I was in a good location and also met our dietary needs. The Alpacas are so very adorable. I recommend this experience! Our whole family of 6 adults enjoyed this.

Had such a great experience. My girlfriend is obsessed with Alpacas. As a date idea, we chose a picnic with Alpaca's. We received a large amount of organic snacks and food. Took most of it home because we couldn't finish it all. The alpacas were great as well!

My wife and I did the sunset picnic with alpacas for a date night and we had an amazing time! The food was delicious and there was lots left to take home and share with family. We really enjoyed interacting with the alpacas, highland cows, and Aspen the golden retriever/Irish setter mix. We look forward to returning in the future!

My partner and I just got back from an absolutely wonderful stay at the farm. We had a great time at the sunset picnic with the alpacas, with excellent food and company. We then spent the night glamping in the RV on site which itself was a wonderful accommodation, and also looked out onto the paddocks and fields, with goats as our neighbours. In the morning we got to meet with the male alpacas, and afterwards we participated in goat yoga. Everything about the experience, from the animals, to the facilities, to the food, and the gracious hosts was spectacular.

My partner and I went this past weekend for the Alpaca sunset picnic and had a great time! Cheryl was great at providing education about the alpacas and was such a unique experience to be able to feed and observe. The picnic was wonderful and we definitely took home extras. Would recommend especially if you’re looking for a new/unique experience.

Things to know before you book

Dietary Accommodations:
We can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, and most food allergies if notified at least 48 hours in advance. Please add any dietary notes to your reservation.
If you require a vegan substitute, please note that an additional charge will apply to help cover the increased cost of vegan options.
Cheese Selection: This picnic predominantly includes goat cheeses, with occasional sheep or water buffalo cheeses. If you require a different dairy option, non-dairy substitute, or follow a specialized diet (such as Keto or Vegan), please contact us before booking to determine if we can accommodate your request. Additional fees apply.
Bringing Decorations? If you are celebrating a special occasion and wish to bring decorations, please contact us first to ensure they are safe for the alpacas and will not frighten them.
Interacting with Alpacas: Your picnic takes place under a gazebo, but you are welcome to step out and interact with the alpacas. Be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes that can handle a little dirt.
Take-Home Treats: Most guests leave with leftovers and/or farm products to enjoy later!
Age Restriction: This experience is strictly for guests aged 16 and up. Please do not book for children, as we will need to cancel your reservation. Nursing infants are permitted.
Respect the Alpacas’ Space: For the well-being of our alpacas, running is not permitted in the enclosure. Please move calmly and respectfully around the animals.
Food & Beverage Policy: Outside food and beverages are not permitted unless there is a specific allergy we cannot accommodate. Guests may not feed the alpacas anything except what is provided, as this is for their health and safety. Alcohol, smoking, and marijuana use are strictly prohibited during the picnic.
Weather Policy: The picnic proceeds in light rain, as the eating area is covered. If heavy rain, strong winds, or thunderstorms occur, your experience will be rescheduled or credited per our policy below.

Cancellation Policy

To create the best experience for both our guests and our animals, we limit the number of participants in each experience. Last-minute cancellations are very difficult to rebook, so we have a fair cancellation policy that we strictly follow:

If we cancel due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full credit (minus the booking system processing fee).
Cancellations made 5 days or more before your experience are eligible for a full refund, credit, or reschedule (minus the processing fee).
Cancellations made 2–4 days before your experience will receive a 50% refund or 50% credit/reschedule (minus the processing fee).
Cancellations within 48 hours of the experience are non-refundable and cannot be credited or rescheduled.
No-shows will not receive a refund, credit, or reschedule.

How we keep the alpacas safe and happy

We like to say that we’re overprotective helicopter parents when it comes to our farm beauties. That’s why we only run this experience a few times a week with a small number of guests per session. You must sanitize your shoes on our sanitary foot mat and wash your hands. We’ll teach you how to behave around them and handle them properly, because when you get this right, the bond you can form is truly incredible. During their downtime, they live their lives together in their pastures, kicking the hay, rolling around on the ground, and discussing their favourite books.
